First Kashmiri Picnic of 2007

It has been an extremely long time since the Kashmiri community got together.  Many new families have arrived in Canada and have yet to meet the community as a whole. A get-together would be a very good opportunity for all of us to spend time together and catch-up on all that has been happening.  Being busy in our lives, we have tended to drift apart and thus the camaraderie between us is not as strong.

Before many of us leave the country for summer vacation, I thought it would be a good idea to come together for a picnic on Sunday June 3rd at Belfountain Park.

Most of us have been there and it is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon.  Those who haven't will like it.  We hope to have cricket and football games along with food. The food will be of "one dish" style.  Those of you who cannot bring food may bring soft drinks or other party supplies.  Bachelors may not bring anything.

Please feel free to pass on this message to you family or friends who might not be receiving this email.  We hope to make this one of the larger Kashmiri get-together.  

We hope to meet around 11AM-12PM on June 3rd.   We hope to see everyone there.
